Web Site Privacy Policy

AnswerMTI is committed to protecting your privacy

AnswerMTI is a service of Message Technologies, Inc. (MTI). MTI is committed to protecting your privacy. You can visit most pages on our sites without giving us any information about yourself. But sometimes we do need information to provide services that you request, and this privacy statement explains data collection and use in those situations. This privacy statement only applies to AnswerMTI.com, messagetech.com, MTI web services, newsletters, discussion lists and opt-in mailing lists owned and operated by MTI.

What information are you collecting and how are you collecting it?

Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers that serve as that computer’s “Internet Protocol” IP address. When a visitor requests a page from any MTI web site, our web servers automatically recognize that visitor’s domain name and IP address. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you other than the IP address from which you have accessed our site. We use this information to examine our traffic in aggregate, but do not collect and evaluate this information for individuals.

Collection of your Personal Information

We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. Generally, this information is requested when you are registering for or using one of MTI’s web-based services, ordering e-mail newsletters, or requesting sales information.

For example: If you choose a service or transaction that requires payment, such as using the MTI Express Callsm portion of the MTI’s web site, we will request personal information necessary for billing and/or shipping, such as: name, address, telephone number, and credit card number.

MTI also collects information about which pages our customers visit within messagetech.com. This site visitation data is identified only by a unique ID number, and it is never linked with personal information unless a user consents as described below.

What are cookies?

From time to time, MTI may send a cookie to your computer. A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. MTI uses cookies to identify which areas of messagetech.com you have visited or customized, so the next time you visit, those pages may be readily accessible.

You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings of your browser. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies, or allow your browser to show you when a cookie is being sent. If you choose not to accept these cookies, your experience at our site and other Web sites may be diminished and some features may not work as intended.

Will you disclose the information you collect to outside third parties?

When you register, or otherwise give us personal information, MTI will not share that information with third parties without your permission.

MTI will disclose personal information when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:

1. Conform to the edicts of the law or comply with a legal process served on MTI
2. Protect and defend the rights or property of MTI and its network of web sites, or visitors to MTI.
3. Identify persons who may be violating the law, the legal notice, or the rights of third parties
4. Cooperate with the investigations of purported unlawful activities.

MTI uses reasonable precautions to keep the information disclosed to us secure. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide in computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit sensitive information (such as a credit card number) over the internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. However, we are not responsible for any breach of security or for any actions of any third parties which receive the information. AnswerMTI.com and Messagetech.com may also link to a wide variety of other sites and may contain advertisements of third parties. We are not responsible for their privacy policies or how they treat information about their users. MTI does not share any of the individual personal information you provide us with the sites to which messagetech.com links, although MTI may share aggregate data with such Web sites (such as how many people use our Site).

Your Consent To This Agreement

By using our Web site, you consent to the collection and use of information by MTI as specified above. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
